I didn’t grow up with a love for mixology, but I did grow up with a family margarita recipe that had always been a hit at gatherings and events. That recipe is what inspired me to create The Marg Bar—what started as a small, home-based business making margarita mixes has now grown into something I’m proud to share with all of you.
Along the way, I’ve had my share of personal challenges. Living with Lupus and Marfan syndrome hasn’t been easy, but these experiences have shaped who I am today. I’ve learned resilience, strength, and the importance of celebrating life’s moments—big or small. I’ve taken that mindset and applied it to The Marg Bar, turning it into a business that’s all about creating memorable experiences, one margarita at a time.
I’m also a business-minded guy at heart, with a background in operations management, marketing, and leadership. Over the years, I’ve worked as the manager at Honest Coffee Roasters Edgewood, led marketing initiatives, and developed strong client relationships as an independent consultant. I’ve taken those skills and used them to build The Marg Bar from the ground up. But what excites me most is where this journey is heading.
Right now, The Marg Bar operates as a home-based business in Birmingham, AL, but I have a bigger vision: to open a brick-and-mortar bar where people can come together and enjoy the same handcrafted margaritas in a vibrant, welcoming space. Whether you’re sipping one of our drinks at your own event or at our future location, I promise you’ll always get a fresh, flavorful experience made with love.
